Occupational Therapist – Pediatric Focus

Location :  Normal, IL

Employment Type :  Full-Time, On-Site

Setting :  Clinic / Private Practice

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled  Occupational Therapist (OT)  to join a dynamic pediatric therapy team. This full-time position focuses on providing occupational therapy services to children from birth to age 18 in a clinic setting, with opportunities to work in Early Intervention programs. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and have the chance to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and fieldwork students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a pediatric caseload (birth to 18 years)
  • Conduct assessments in fine motor skills, self-help abilities, sensory processing, and more
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
  • Collaborate with professionals across disciplines including speech, physical, and behavioral therapy
  • Supervise COTAs and interns as assigned
  • Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes and reports
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s preferred)
  • NBCOT certification
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Illinois
  • Early Intervention credential (preferred or eligible)
  • Minimum 1 year of pediatric OT experience, especially with developmental delays / disabilities
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license and current auto insurance
