Job Overview :

The Pharmacist is responsible to review, profile, compound and dispense medications to a patient on the receipt of a physician’s order.

The pharmacist is responsible for the patient population from newborns to geriatrics. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.

e. damaged floors / walls / ceiling tiles / unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

Qualifications : Required :

Required : BA / BS in Pharmacy

BA / BS in Pharmacy

NJ Pharmacy License

Preferred :

Pharm degree and residency training preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required :

BA / BS in Pharmacy

NJ Pharmacy License

Scheduling Requirements :

• Days Shift
• Per Diem Schedule
• Hours vary based on the needs of the department

Essential Functions :

The Registered Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical care to all patient age groups, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients

The position is responsible for the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of both the prescribing and effectiveness of all medications and IV admixtures

The registered Pharmacist also provides, when needed, clinical services such as patient counseling, education, consults, and Medication Therapy Management

The position is also responsible for identifying and reporting hazardous environments or safety issues and medical errors to appropriate personnel

The position is also responsible for any other assigned tasks, as appropriate
