Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • The position calls for leadership in project planning through the monitoring & organizing of the efforts to be carried out.
  • However, managing such projects & efforts does not require the position to be supervising support staff.
  • The incumbent in the offered position does not have day-to-day authority over said support staff.
  • The position does not have any employees directly or indirectly reporting to the Senior Business Systems Analyst, & the incumbent is only responsible for managing projects that they are assigned by senior analysts and managers.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate & Divisional Policies & procedures.
  • Collect, correlate, analyze, record & maintain technical data for use in developing operating & instruction manuals utilizing tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Screensteps & Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Conduct test & develop preliminary findings for review.
  • Assist in the development of standards & procedures.
  • Prepare written reports of work by applying standard information systems, theories, concepts, & techniques such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Develop solutions to problems where casual relationships can be identified, & precedents exist utilizing Mental Mapping techniques, conducting Brainstorming sessions, Data Analysis skills, Entity relationship Diagram principles, Traditional Database principles, developing Data Mapping artifacts, produce Solution & Design Documents.
  • Conduct & document results from Experimental Research, Vendor Evaluation, gathering user feedback, using MS-Word, Visio, Whiteboarding, developing Data Flow & Business Process flow diagrams based on use cases defined.
  • Employ experience using data analysis tools and techniques such as Spotfire, MS-Excel, MySQL querying, working in Agile methodology.
  • Responsible for facilitating JAD sessions with key SMEs and Data Solutions team.
  • Apply analytical thinking skills to diagnose & make recommendations on systems.
  • Incorporate knowledge of business & technology to make recommendations.
  • Translate data gathered from user discussions into business requirements.
  • Identify business & system needs & recommends solutions.
  • Assist with the testing strategies & develops preliminary findings.
  • Analyze departmental processes & make recommendations that are most effective means to satisfy those needs.
  • Analyze complex work procedures and job methods & presents concepts to simplify those procedures.
  • Work effectively with team / group to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Actively participate in client or team meetings by offering suggestions.
  • Provide leadership to project planning by monitoring & organize the efforts of technical & business support staff.
  • Manage projects according to milestones & completes tasks assigned by more experienced analysts & managers.
  • 5% domestic & international travel is required.
  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders & provide front line support for business requests from various divisions / group.
  • Facilitate effective User Acceptance Testing which will help drive successful delivery of the project scope.
  • Work in a cross-functional environment, identify dependencies, mitigate risks, & propose solutions wherever necessary.
  • Establish strong partnership with the Vendor by conducting regular Vendor Engagement sessions, gathering feedback from user community, & communicating effectively with Vendor, being proactive to know the upcoming products, features in the pipeline of Vendors.
  • Develop roadmaps using tools such as MS-Power Point, MS-Word, & timelines using Google Smartsheet for proposed solutions for business needs & ensure that they are effectively communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Support & perform data analysis & data migration activities from legacy systems to future systems using tools like MS-Excel, & building queries using SQL.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a highly related field of study with at least 5 years of experience.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a highly related field of study with at least 2 years of experience.

In each alternative, must possess at least 2 years of practical experience in the following :

  • collecting, correlating, analyzing, recording & maintaining technical data for use in developing operating & instruction manuals utilizing tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Screensteps & Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • preparing written reports of work by applying standard information systems, theories, concepts & techniques such as information systems, theories, concepts, and techniques such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  • data analysis tools & techniques such as Spotfire, MS-Excel, MySQL querying, working in Agile methodology; &
  • supporting and performing data analysis & data migration activities from legacy systems to future systems using tools like MS-Excel and building queries using SQL.

Salary Rate : $170,955 per year
