Hornig Companies’ full-time Assistant Property Manager assists the Property Manager in facilitating the day-to-day operations of three apartment buildings in Plymouth and Wayzata.
What are some of the things I would do?
- Facilitate the leasing of the property
- Answer phones and greet incoming traffic in a friendly, professional manner
- Provide outstanding customer service to our residents and new applicants
- Build relationships, following up and maintaining effective communication with staff and vendors
- Coordinate the move-in / move-out process
- Maintain timely communication with staff and vendors
- Assist in collecting & depositing rents as well as following up on delinquency
- Provide administrative support to Property Manager
- Communicate with residents regarding repairs in a caring, compassionate manner that upholds Hornig Companies’ customer service reputation as well as Fair Housing guidelines

What should I bring to the team?
- Strong work ethic and desire to assist our residents in finding their home with us and maintaining a great place to live
- Detail orientation and attention to accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Office. Appfolio software experience preferred
- Customer Service experience is preferred, prior leasing experience is a plus
