Job Summary
As a school PTA, you will work under the direction of a physical therapist to offer PT services to students with functional limitations or disabilities.
You will be responsible for supporting a PT in providing prescribed interventions to students according to the parameters set forth in their individual education plans (IEP).
You may also be asked to assist with PT evaluations, document student interventions, and progress, and relay your observations to a supervising PT.
Your students will vary in age from grades K-12, to be determined by the school district. You will work to help students overcome physical learning barriers and maximize their ability to participate fully in a school environment.
Prescribed therapies may focus on developing strength, range of motion, or balance; gait training; improving gross motor control;
and / or practice using assistive devices such as a wheelchair, cane, or walker.
We are looking for a versatile PT A who is willing to collaborate with a diverse group of students, educators, therapists, and administrators.

Qualifications
Education
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist program that is approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
Experience
Prior PTA experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required
Licensure and Certifications
- Current Physical therapist assistant licensure within the state of practice
- BLS certification
