Radiology Technologist
Choice Surgical Center is a new Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Omaha, Nebraska. Our focus is on interventional pain management and spine health.
We are seeking a Radiology Technologist who can assist with procedures requiring fluoroscopy guidance. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, NO holidays or weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintains safe and clean working environment and all safety checks are performed by complying with safety protocols and radiation protection according to department policy and procedures.
- Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving and adjusting equipment into a specified position.
- Ensures that physician orders are complete and verify accuracy.
- Gain patient’s cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of treatment, and answering questions.
- Willingly seeks opportunity to provide patient care, assist physician, and coworkers as needed during exams.
- Documents in electronic medical record (EMR)
- Works collaboratively with management and supervising practitioner to ensure that all radiographic policies are current and all standards maintained.
- Supervises radiation protection program
- Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies.
- Willing to learn and perform department tasks within scope of practice to assist in efficient patient care.
- Knowable regarding sterile technique and maintain at all times.
- Instrument cleaning and sterilization
- Ability to perform numerous tasks at once, prioritize workload and organize workflow.
- Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Behavior and company policies / procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered or board eligible required
- Radiology Technologist license in the state of Nebraska
Job Type : Part-time
Pay : $28.65 - $34.50 per hour
Expected hours : 16 24 per week
