Position Overview : We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our diverse and motivated Management Services team.

This role involves reviewing insurance company financial statements and tax returns, handling special projects, and collaborating with a talented team of problem solvers.

Responsibilities :

• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and federal and state income tax returns.
• Lead and foster a culture of open and dynamic communication, promoting teamwork to achieve goals.
• Assist in resolving complex accounting issues and provide guidance to team members.
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
• Perform tasks of Accounting Analysts and assist with accounting and tax work.
• Handle confidential client matters with discretion.
• Meet productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours).
• Maintain familiarity with IRS Circular 230, AICPA Professional Code of Conduct, and relevant regulations.
• Complete special projects within defined timeframes and minimal review notes.
• Communicate directly with external clients on various topics.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent education / experience.
• Five or more years of insurance company accounting and / or tax experience.
• At least one year of experience in a senior accounting or manager role.
• High initiative, positivity, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized, adaptable, solution-oriented, and resourceful.
• Effective communication skills, strong work ethic, and high personal integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP, GAAP, and IRS Tax Code / Regulations.
• CPA certification is a plus.
