IT Deskside Engineer/ Customer Engineer - Ladson, SC
This is an on-site 1099 Contract role payable at $24 per hour
Overview :
We are seeking an IT Deskside Support Specialist to join our team, supporting end-user devices within a dynamic IT and manufacturing environment.
The role involves a blend of deskside support and the configuration and deployment of IT assets. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience working in a team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities :
Deskside Support :
- Provide deskside support to end users, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of end-user devices.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and upgrading of hardware and software on user devices.
- Support office moves, setups, and minimal data migrations as required.
Configuration and Deployment :
- Perform imaging and deployment of computers and other IT assets.
- Document work performed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all IT assets are configured according to company standards.
Technical Environment :
- IT and Manufacturing Environment.
- Proficiency in computer imaging and documentation.
- Strong customer-facing skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required :
- Experience in IT support, particularly in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Ability to image computers and document processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have :
- Experience in a manufacturing or IT sector.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Additional Information :
- This is an on-site role, and remote work is not available.
- The role does not require professional accreditations but values relevant experience.
- No travel is expected for this position.
