The Maintenance Mechanic function involves the mechanical, electrical, and sheet metal repairs to maintain the production process in a food manufacturing facility.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventative maintenance and machine repair removing, assembling and installing industrial parts and equipment, performing modifications, completing preventative maintenance checks, scheduled and unscheduled repairs, etc.
May work with electric, with up to 480 volts 3 phase.
Collaboration and teamwork working with team members and other departments to improve the production process, placing work orders for parts needed, working with contractors and vendors on special projects, participating in team and interdepartmental meetings and trainings as necessary.
Keeping an eye on the details maintaining tools to keep them in good working order, following manual instructions or contacting manufacturer when needed, cleaning and sanitation tasks as necessary, following safety, health and other company policies and procedures, other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
TOOLS FOR THE TRADE
Required :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ industrial maintenance background mechanical and / or electrical
- Experience in a high-speed manufacturing facility
- Good communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box
- Solution and team oriented
- Basic computer skills
What will set you apart :
- Experience in Food Manufacturing
- Vocational training or post-secondary degree in a technical field
- Experience using a CMMS system
