Dental Assisting Substitute Instructor
Location : Lehi, UT
Status : Part-time, as needed
Hours : Varied
Pay / Hourly : $23.38
SUMMARY
As the Dental Assisting Substitute Instructor, you will provide classroom instruction when the regular teacher cannot attend.
In this role you will be expected to follow lessons, lead classroom discussions, demonstrate skills and guide inquiry.

DENTAL ASSISTING SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTOR - RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Provide effective instruction and facilitate student learning for the program
- Review and implement lesson plans
- Engage students for the entirety of the scheduled class
- Give clear instructions and help students understand the lesson
- Maintain discipline and control of the classroom
- Record student attendance
- Foster a safe and nurturing learning atmosphere
- Teach and require safety as a regular daily component of skill practice
- Supervise, debrief, and evaluate students in lab, clinical, externship, or other work-based learning activities if instructing in these settings
- Perform evaluations of student learning, using course objectives as a guide
- Observe and follow school policies
DENTAL ASSISTING SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTOR - QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduation from and accredited Dental Assisting program with appropriate certificate of
completion.
- Minimum of three years' experience working in the Dental Assisting field
- Prior teaching experience is preferred
- DANB National Certification for CDA preferred
