Hourly Range : $34.65 -$35.69
RNs in theCritical Care Float pool also have the opportunity to gainadditional competencies in Emergency Department care andneuro-progressive care areas.

JobDescription :
Implements physicianorders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments,procedures
and special tests, and document treatmentas required by company policy and local / state / federal
rules and regulations.
- Orders, interprets, andevaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients'conditions.
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs for,and responses to, care rendered.
- Applies sound nursingjudgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provides primary and emergency care for occupational andnon-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administersover-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Carefor all patients.
- Directs and guides ancillarypersonnel and maintain standards of professionalnursing.
Qualifications :
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in whicha Diploma, Associate Degree or
Baccalaureate Degree isconferred
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurselicense
- Obtains and maintains certification in BasicLife Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support
ACLS)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RNexperience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
- Excellentcommunication, prioritization, organizational and time-managementskills
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts,principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques
and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental andpatient care qualityimprovement.
