Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ER

Shift : Nights, 7p-7 : 30a, 12x3, 36hrs per week

Length : 13 weeks

Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)

No Call

No Holidays

Requirements :

• NJ or Compact License
• 2+ years of current ED experience required within a large academic center
• 2+ Designated Trauma level I or II experience required
• Experience with Peds, Triage, STEMl and Stroke Experience required
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Other Details :

• Will not accept 1st time travelers
• Local Radius : 50 miles
• Local Rule : accepted
• Ratio primarily 1 : 5 (plus one hallway bed)
• COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline) : Required + Booster - Medical / Religious Exemptions only
• Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline) : Unknown

Types of patients include all ED patients - this is a mixed patient population of pediatrics and adults, plus observation and admitted boarding patients within the ED...

Emergency room travel nurses are on the hospital front-lines, which is why emergency room travel nurse positions require a candidate who is able to handle a stressful and busy environment.

They are responsible for examining patients upon their arrival and carrying out triage tasks to assess their condition. Ability to identify injuries, signs and symptoms, and communicate their assessment to the physician are required for the emergency room nurse.

A travel ER nurse assists in patient treatment and explaining prescription information to patient / family among other tasks and must know the facility and government policies as it relates to patient treatment, transfer, and discharge.

Educating the patient and their family about continued treatment at home is another task carried out by emergency room nurses before discharge.
