WithersRavenel is recruiting a Project Manager to join the expanding and innovative Residential Practice Area! In this role you will leverage your expertise and skills to collaborate with your team and execute the timely and accurate production of projects.

This is a hybrid role working out of our Wilmington, NC office where employees and supervisors collaborate to establish an in- and out-of-office schedule that "works" for all involved.

Responsibilities

  • Direct projects by managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload, financial performance, resource and staffing needs while collaborating with clients and teammates throughout the organization.
  • Oversee and participate in the cultivation of existing client relationships including periodic client meetings, proposal and budget development, and obtaining feedback in conjunction with Marketing and Practice Area teammates.
  • Prepare agreements and oversee the creation and approval of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
  • Analyze complex technical opportunities and devise new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor Team Members to achieve the goals and strategies for the Practice Area. Actively encourage career development, training and career path planning for all of your direct teammates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 7+ years of engineering / industry experience with demonstrated team management experience
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and project management skills as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of contracts, accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of fostering existing client relationships
