About The Position

required by start Certifications : - Chemotherapy administration certification prior to start- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : - Experience administering chemotherapy- Inpatient setting experience Job Description : - Administer chemotherapy / biotherapy via IV, PO, or injection.
- Care for high-acuity adults and geriatric patients.- Manage patients with conditions such as DKA, AKI, sepsis, cancer, septic shock, and more.
- Utilize hospital systems like PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication.- Attend a 24-hour unit orientation over two shifts.
- Wear navy blue and white scrubs.- Participate in the storm or hurricane team if required.- Float to similar units or alternate care locations as needed.
- Work every other weekend, with a commitment to work during mass casualty or disaster events.- Complete mandatory online modules prior to starting the role.
- Comfortable with charting and floating based on skill sets and census.Please note : Flexibility around RTO, with a maximum of 7 days off and no requests during the first week of the assignment.
You are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract period.
