GENERAL MANAGER - CAPACITY
C.H. Robinson is currently hiring a General Manager for our Capacity team within North America Surface Transportation (NAST).
In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of both people leaders and individual contributors in a NAST office, overseeing carrier portfolios within the Great Lakes region.
You will impact strategic growth by managing and planning to achieve key business and financial objectives, all while aligning with the enterprises vision and goals.

Responsibilities : Prioritize customer and carrier needs, ensuring decisions and actions are customer-focused
Utilize deep knowledge of C.H. Robinsons products and services to identify growth opportunities, optimize solutions, and stay ahead of industry trends
Align the team with enterprise strategic goals, regularly communicate key metrics, and motivate employees to achieve business results
Identify gaps, leverages resources and technology to enhance efficiency, productivity, and financial outcomes
Execute strategies to strengthen and grow carrier and customer relationships
Drive performance and growth of team leaders and reports through coaching, feedback, and mentoring
Review engagement data, implement plans to foster a positive culture, and support retention
Create a safe, inclusive environment by reducing barriers and supporting equity-driven policies
Embraces change and visibly leads change management initiatives, including active involvement in communication, implementation, and reinforcement
Partner with internal resources to maximize cash flow, including the claims, billing, and payment processes while serving as a point of escalation and decision maker
Plan, strategize, and deploy resources to drive business opportunities and manage daily service delivery
Build, manage, and leverage internal relationships across all layers of the organization to ensure collaboration, consistency, quality, issue resolution, process and / or service improvements d to maximize efficiencies and results
Required Qualifications : Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 7 years logistics industry experience
Minimum 3 years of people management experience
Ability to travel up to 30% (domestically)
Proven experience utilizing analytical tools to understand and manage business
Preferred Qualifications : Strong knowledge of C.H. Robinsons carrier and / or commercial-facing business
Broad market and industry knowledge, and vertical expertise (if applicable)
Experience leading other leaders
Demonstrated success generating revenue or business growth and able to drive results through others
Financial management experience and ability to understand and communicate financial metrics
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency presenting to both internal and external audiences
Demonstrated collaboration, influence, relationship building, and negotiation skills
Experience consulting with multiple stakeholders across varying organizational levels, both internally and externally
Strong organizational and problem resolution skills
