Description :

Position : Interim Surgical Director.

Years of experience required : 2.

Start date : ASAP.

This position oversees the surgical department.

The department operates 2 OR suites and 1 procedure room.

Average case volume includes :

• Ortho approximately 4-6 cases per week.
• General surgery typically 9 cases weekly including colonoscopies, EGD, hernia repairs, and mass excisions.
• Hand surgeries approximately 8 every other week.

Specific case types include :

The director will manage approximately 7 staff members.

Core responsibilities include effectively staffing the OR.

This involves managing agency staffing to fill gaps when core staff is unavailable.

Additional goals include rebuilding employee engagement through improved communication.

The role also focuses on optimizing room turnover times and provider efficiency.

Assistance with recruitment for permanent hiring is part of the responsibilities.

The charting system used is Evident, a CPSI company.

The role does not require a BSN.

An active nursing license is required.

This is an acute care setting focused on surgical services.
