Wages

$24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Benefits

Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), plus eight paid holidays per year and two floating holidays; competitive health plan with BlueCross, BlueShield of MN, dental, and vision insurance offerings : Health Savings Account (HSA). There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employees. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. COPAL sponsors a retirement plan with 6% employer contribution after 90 days of service and immediate vesting.

Schedule

This position works during normal business hours, but flexibility for occasional evening and weekend hours is needed based on program activities and community events.

A Typical Day in the Life...

A typical day as COPAL's Community Health Regional Coordinator provides an opportunity to play a vital role in advancing COPAL's Southeast Initiative by supporting health and wellness efforts across the nine counties of Southeast Minnesota. Responsibilities will include the following :

• Collaborating with the Southeast Initiative Manager and the Health and Wellness team to fulfill contract requirements and achieve program outcomes.
• Coordinating key program activities, including health fairs, vaccination events, educational workshops, mental health programs, and community conversations to advance the well-being of Latine families in the region.
• Managing timelines, logistics, and resources to ensure successful program implementation.
• Participating in the design of a statewide strategy to better the health outputs of Latine families in Minnesota as a member of COPAL's Health and Wellness initiative.
• Building, maintaining, and keeping track of relationships with organizations, public agencies, healthcare providers, and local businesses to expand program resources and reach.
• Collaborating on program evaluation strategies and reporting.
• Planning and facilitating community workshops and conversations on preventative health, nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and related topics.
• Conducting outreach, including door-knocking, phone banking, and tabling events, to share resources and promote participation in COPAL's programs.
• Maintaining accurate records of community interactions and using data to inform future activities.
• Listening actively, communicating with empathy, and gathering information in a respectful manner.
• Developing and implementing strategies to engage community members, increase program awareness, and drive participation.
• Distributing educational materials and PPE to community members as needed.
• Supporting the recruitment, training, and coordination of program volunteers.
• Maintaining accurate records and databases, documenting participant information, program activities, and outreach efforts.
• Preparing reports and presentations about the programs as needed.
• Documenting and communicating the needs and concerns of community members to inform future program development.
• Completing surveys with community members as needed.
• Participating in fundraising activities, including donor engagement and membership campaigns.
