Qualifications :
- Education : A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Licensing : CCC-SLP from ASHA, Professional Educator Certificate, and valid Georgia SLP licensure.
- Experience : A minimum of 2 years working in a school setting.
- Preferred : Knowledge of IDEA and special education laws, strong communication and teamwork skills, and experience with IEPs and evidence-based therapy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluations : Conduct thorough evaluations of students' speech and language abilities, employing a variety of diagnostic tools and methodologies to identify specific areas of need.
- Planning : Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring these plans are rooted in best practices and evidence-based strategies.
- Assessments : Continuously monitor and assess student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to accommodate any changes in the student's condition or needs.
- Documentation : Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation of all therapy sessions, including detailed notes on student progress, challenges encountered, and the efficacy of interventions applied.
Compensation and Benefits :
- Hourly Rate : $30-$40 per hour, dependent on position and experience.
- Payment Structure : Weekly pay.
- Weekly Hours : Part Time and Full Time openings
