How you'll make an impact :

As a Senior Manager on the SiriusXM Connect team, you will help grow and lead an inspiring team of designers and collaborate with partners to craft innovative and elegant products for internal and external customers.

You will be challenged to innovate and differentiate our services within the competitive connected vehicle and related markets, address our customers wide range of needs, impact SiriusXM Connect's core business metrics, and further mature the design team's skills and culture.

What you'll do :

• Develop a nuanced understanding of SiriusXM Connect's business goals and the needs of our customers.
• Manage a subset of the Connect design team across design functions (UX, visual, design systems, content design).
• Attract and retain diverse, passionate, and talented designers and guide their career development.
• Set your team up for successful delivery of elegant, impactful product design work.
• Work with design and cross-functional leaders to shape SiriusXM Connect's strategic vision, product development process, and culture of user-centered design.
• Consider the full ecosystem of our customer's experience across mobile, web, TV, and other devices and connect to the tools & teams powering the front-end experience.
• Present work to senior leadership and communicate design rationale, process, and how success is to be measured.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll need :

8+ years of experience with the product design and development process - demonstrable via design portfolio, use cases, in-market products, etc.

Portfolios should highlight challenges you faced, how you collaborated with others, what you learned, and the personal / business / end-user impact of your work.

• 3+ years of management experience.
• Bachelor of Science in a design or tech-related field or equivalent industry experience.
• A user-centered approach to problem solving that leverages research, analytics, empathy, strong design intuition, best practices, and accessible design.
• Track record of inspiring and influencing your team and partners to consistently achieve meaningful impact through design.
• Commitment to professional growth and learning for both yourself and your team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to tailor communications to your audience.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Patience, kindness, accountability, and curiosity.
• Nice-to-have specializations :
• Strong background in visual design (and / or collaboration with brand and marketing teams)
• Experience maintaining a component-based design system (used by both design and engineering partners)
• Expertise in designing ad-supported experiences
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
