That's how we drive impact - for ourselves, our company, and the users we serve. Join us. ByteDance's traffic infrastructure team builds and operates a large network of edge POPs around the world, hosting infrastructure services including widely distributed Content Distribution Networks (CDNs).

We are seeking experienced product managers to build the enterprise-level infrastructure platforms to serve Bytedance products, on top of which developers can easily deploy and manage their applications.

Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with engineering, UI / UX, and other cross-functional teams on cutting edge technologies to define infrastructure platforms.

  • Understand the cloud and edge computing ecosystem, market, competition, and user requirements in depth.- Identify and define traffic management and security design discussions partnering with feature delivery teams- Maintain and iterate current data dashboards for internal and external users for usage, cost, utilization and stability and lead relevant initiatives with both business and technical leaders- Set up goals for the edge team and prioritizing product roadmap based on its impact over bottom line from both long term and short term perspective- Design and execute pricing and billing strategy for edge related products on a data driven approach, under technical constraints and with deep customer engagements- Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms, and identify partnership and collaboration opportunities- Decompose complex solutions into iterative chunks of work, and make the difficult and high-judgment trade-offs between features and time-to-market.
  • Create strategic product roadmaps, coordinate and manage the product development schedule.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications- Master’s degree (or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience) in Computer Science or related engineering fields.
  • 3+ years experience in building / shipping cloud and infrastructure products, and familiar with product development life cycles.
  • Experience in driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.- Experience with agile project management and tools such as Jira.

Preferred Qualifications- General understanding of common cloud technologies such as kubernetes, docker, virtualization, network infrastructure, cloud security, etc.

  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas, product management, engineering, UI / UX, customer support, marketing.- Strong communication skills to manage a large degree of interaction with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, visualization and finance- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
