Job Summary
The Staff Accountant / Human Resource position is responsible for recruiting and onboarding new employees, assisting the Controller with payroll processing, and addressing various accounting needs.
Job Functions
The primary duties and responsibilities for the Staff Accountant / Human Resource role include :
- Act as a positive brand ambassador for A-1 Mechanical of Michigan, LLC
- Create and manage job listings
- Assist leadership with scheduling interviews
- Input weekly timecards into the payroll processing program
- Provide employees with insights regarding benefits
- Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Honest and dependable personality
- Clean driving record
- Self-motivated, with the ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
- Availability to work weekends and occasional overtime
- Preferred experience in accounting and / or human resources
