Salary : $33-$43
It is the primary function of the Charge Nurse to direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, established policies and procedures, and as may be required by the Director of Nurses, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care if maintained at all times.
Knowledge, education and training
1. Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN / LVN Program
2. On the job training provided
3. Knowledge of resident's assessment instrument and electronic data transmission
4. Knowledge of facility services, both skilled nursing and intermediate care, and appropriate disciplines and / or healthcare professionals that provide such services
5. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long
term care
6. Knowledge of resident rights including but not limited to Patient Self Determination Act. right to execute an Advance Directives, right to treatment / refuse treatment, equal access to care, right to privacy & confidentiality of information etc.
7. Knowledge of survey process and interpretative guidelines
Requirements :
- Active LVN License in the state of CA.
- Dependable Transportation, Current Driver’s License and auto Insurance.
- Current CPR
- Ability to perform the physical aspects of the position.
- TB testing.
- Annual Flu Vaccinations
