Pacific Life is seeking an accomplished Technology Strategy Consultant to join our Technology Strategy & Planning team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in our technology strategy by leveraging your broad expertise in technology, and deep background in strategic planning and program management.
Reporting to the AVP of Technology Strategy & Planning, you'll closely collaborate with external consultants, a growing team of technology strategists, the Senior Technology Leadership Team, and broader organization, to help lead the organization through strategic planning and operational execution.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Actively contribute to the strategic planning process, leading and participating in workshops, discussions, and the translation of insights into a well-defined strategic roadmap.
- Work together with the AVP, Technology Strategy & Planning and other team members to ensure cohesive alignment on approach, plan, and schedule for all technology strategy activities.
- Shepherd the translation of high-level strategic blueprints into actionable plans, fostering collaboration between business units and technology initiatives.
- Play a key role in the program management and execution of the technology strategy, assisting in ongoing prioritization, measuring success, and ensuring effective communication.
- Interact with cross-functional teams, applying insights to drive informed planning choices and overall technology direction.
- Offer valuable insights and recommendations that shape our technology and business strategies, drawing from your extensive industry experience.
- Stay informed about emerging technology trends and industry dynamics, leveraging your expertise to guide strategic decisions.
The Experience You Will Bring
- You bring a distinguished track record of 10+ years in progressive strategy, technology, or consulting roles, collaborating with stakeholders across business and technology to define, breakdown, and execute strategic goals.
- Your broad grounding in technology across all domains has enabled organizations to see blindspots, stress test thinking, and make our strategies and strategic plans better because of it.
- With 10+ years of industry experience in life insurance and / or financial services, you offer valuable insights into the sector.
- Your ability to autonomously align agendas with organizational priorities leads to impactful work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills allow for effective presentations and collaboration.
- Problem-solving, negotiation, and program management are key tools you utilize to drive results.
- Successfully managing strategic technology programs and projects, including business plan creation and realization, is a core capability.
- You possess the ability to align and influence enterprise resources to achieve objectives.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging external consulting for actionable outcomes highlights your strategic acumen.

Base Pay Range
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting.
The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$127,890.00 - $156,310.00
