About The Position
Job Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Specialty : Respiratory Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 6 : 45 PM - 7 : 00 AM, 3 X 12 hr shifts / week, Weekend and Holidays as needed Guaranteed Hours : 24.
00 hours / week Experience : License : Current and valid Respiratory Care license and Registered Respiratory Therapist certification required Certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS Must-Have : NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Job Description : Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction for the education, treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
- Assist in intubation and manage ventilator set-up.- Evaluate patient needs by gathering relevant information, including patient-specific disease education, testing, and consultations with other healthcare professionals.
- Develop a rapport and mutual respect with patients and caregivers, as well as team members, to foster an optimal environment for goal achievement.
- Provide and document education to patients and caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.- Lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 5 lbs.
and stand a minimum of 1 hour a day.- Maintain regular contact with medical personnel and visitors. Skills & Experience : Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
