Our client is seeking an HR Manager to oversee all HR functions at their Long Island plant. The role requires someone with strong experience in employee relations, compliance, and talent management.

The HR Manager must be bilingual in English and Spanish and will be on-site five days a week to support the plant's workforce effectively.

Our client is a leading producer in the food industry with operations across multiple locations. They are experiencing significant growth and are expanding their presence in various markets.

Their products are widely distributed through retail, food service, and other commercial channels. The HR Manager position will be based at one of their key facilities, focusing on employee relations, performance management, and supporting the company's ongoing expansion efforts.

Description

  • Serve as the on-site HR leader at our client's Long Island plants, working closely with plant leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, addressing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and fostering a positive work environment aligned with company values.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, with a focus on New York regulations, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and performance, supporting the company's growth and productivity goals.
  • Review, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current legal standards and support the company's strategic objectives.

Profile

  • Minimum of 7 years of HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of New York labor laws and compliance practices.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, talent management, and HR compliance.
  • Ability to work on-site in Nassau County, Long Island, five days a week.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
