A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed PMR Physician to join their growing team in Queens.
About the Opportunity :
- Schedule : Monday to Friday - Open to part time or full time
- Hours : 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm or 11am to 7pm
- Specialty : PMR - Pain Management
- Setting : Outpatient
Responsibilities :
The PMR Physician will :
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or other functional impairments
- Assess patients' medical history, physical condition, and functional limitations
- Establish accurate diagnoses based on clinical assessments, medical history, and any necessary diagnostic tests
- Develop personalized treatment plans to address the specific needs and goals of each patient
- Prescribe and oversee physical therapy and rehabilitation exercises to improve mobility, strength, and function.
- Administer joint or soft tissue injections when necessary for pain management or therapeutic purposes
- Manage chronic pain conditions using a combination of medical, physical, and psychological approaches.
- Prescribe medications or other pain management techniques to alleviate discomfort and improve function
- Perform and interpret electrodiagnostic studies such as electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies to assess nerve and muscle function.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for self-management.
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- Licensed to practice in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified
