Town Mart (BP) Trafalgar, IN is looking for one retail sales associate / cashier to join our strong team. We are located on 704 W Point Way Trafalgar 46181. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide personalized service.
  • Assist customers with product selection and answer any questions they may have about merchandise.
  • Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions accurately, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Supervise and train new staff members as needed to ensure high standards of customer service are met.
  • Perform inventory management tasks including restocking shelves and organizing displays.
  • Utilize retail math skills to assist with pricing adjustments and inventory counts.
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.

    • Requirements

  • Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential.
  • Basic understanding of retail math for pricing and inventory management tasks.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

    Available shifts and compensation : We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $11.00 - $14.00 / hour.
