Additional Compensation Details :
- $90k- $120K a year Dependent on Experience and Location of Role.
- Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure.

The Role
Our Operations Manager is a member of Senior Staff working in concert with all departments and is responsible for the supervision of all produce distribution functions, receiving, maintain product quality, warehouse shipping and the repack department and P&L.
The Operations Manager is responsible for loss prevention as it pertains to plant, property and bodily injuries. This position encompasses the overall authority of the warehouse both AM and PM shifts.
Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To
Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
Generates warehouse productivity reports (. piece count report), in regard to receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect.
Adheres to labor distribution requirements and works toward attaining objectives and division goals. Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations.
Oversee Warehouse Operations including Receiving, Operations Support, Quality / Inventory Control, Sanitation, Ripening and Repack.
Determine adequate labor needs and staff as appropriate.Effectively train personnel and establish performance goals of subordinates.
Maintain regular communications with sales, buying, and warehouse and transportation staff to insure operations are functioning satisfactorily.
Monitoring, evaluating and improving KPI’s in order to achieve Operation’s performance objectives.Implement necessary warehouse policy and procedures to effectively control operations.
Review and inspect plant, equipment and documentation, to insure they are all in compliance with Federal / Local Government Regulations and are in compliance with independent inspection guidelines.
Review and inspect plant and equipment, to insure periodic maintenance is provided and authorize repairs and services.Develop and review Division reports profit and loss statement to determine efficiency levels.
Initiate capital expenditure request.Supervise warehouse and transportation operations.Manage the loss prevention function relating to plant property and personnel.
Maintain and achieve operations performance objectives.Conduct staff / employee meetings to monitor all aspects of warehousing and transportation operations.
Maintain Food Safety Fundamentals and the Food Safety Plan.Oversee the review and maintenance of the SQF Plan.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years experience in a warehouse operations environment
- Minimum of two (2) years in leadership role.
- Self-starter, strategic and independent thinker with excellent business acumen.
- Excellent time management and capable of meeting work schedule deadlines.
- Adaptability / Flexibility, with the ability to react quickly to changing requirements from internal and external conditions while maintaining good communication with all parties involved.
- Working knowledge of general workplace safety practices (Cal-OSHA, OSHA).
- Strong planning and organizational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage change and facilitate the implementation of new food safety programs.
- Strong and well organized communicator, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Bilingual Spanish / English, a plus.
