Job Description :
To perform pharmacy technician duties as needed. To assist pharmacist with dispensing activities. To repackage bulk medication according to proper procedure.
To ensure medications are delivered in an accurate and timely manner. May prepare sterile products.

- Assesses risk points and identifies opportunities for quality improvement. Makes recommendations to supervisor to improve processes or services provided by the department.
- Supports supervisor through documentation and reporting of equipment, personnel or system issues. Provides needed coverage and leadership on assigned shift to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Trains technicians and students; provides appropriate feedback as needed. Documents training progress.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required. Currently registered or eligible to be registered as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern / extern by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required.
Active registration will be required prior to date of hire. Currently certified as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or other nationally recognized and accredited certification program requiring examination.
