Position Summary :

Applies the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing.

Reports to : Director AZ Physician Services

FLSA : Non-exempt

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum Education

Must have thorough understanding of ICD-10 Official Coding Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and AHA Coding Clinic; HCPCS / CPT coding systems and CPT Assistant and Coding Clinic for HCPCS guidelines;

Medicare Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS), and Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC).

CCA Preferred (Certified Coding Associate), AAPC or AHIMA or equivalent experience required Knowledge of Oncology Radiation coding preferred
