Principal Technical Engineer-(Thermal Interface Materials) Bay Area - HOME OFFICE

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Principal Technical Engineer. This customer-facing role will bring critical technical know-how to build customer trust, advance sales, and provide high-level technical expertise directly to customers and in collaboration with a global team.

About the Role

The Principal Technical Engineer-(Thermal Interface Materials) Bay Area - HOME OFFICE will be responsible for leading technical actions for customer accounts and collaborating with various teams to drive sales and provide innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own technical actions for customer accounts, setting strategies and prioritizing activities across functions to drive sales to completion.
  • Collaborate with technical services team to execute on innovative and customer-specific solutions to drive sales.
  • Act as a trusted technical and subject matter expert for customers, building relationships and communicating complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proactively identify and address customers' most challenging problems, providing holistic solutions and incorporating customer-focused solutions beyond current scope to prevent future issues.
  • Drive innovation by establishing unique solutions and new processes, expanding capabilities.
  • Develop a deep fundamental understanding of technical phenomena and apply this knowledge to solve problems unique to Company while continuously expanding technical expertise.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, global teams, and external vendors to efficiently and effectively drive sales to successful completion.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables for complex initiatives, demonstrating strategic agility and adaptability in response to changing priorities.
  • Participate in occasional international and domestic business travel (15-20%).

Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Required Skills

  • Background or experience in the following areas is required : PCB components and failure modes, layout consideration, electronics industry, material interface with electronics (coatings, TIM, adhesives, etc.).
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in customer-facing roles and technical sales.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical information.
