Job Summary :
ASE is looking for a System Administrator to work in Honolulu, HI.
The System Administrator, GCCS / AMHS SME, is responsible for the robust administration of the Global Command & Control System (GCCS) and Automated Message Handling System (AMHS).
This role ensures the operational readiness, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of these critical systems across various security platforms.

Job Responsibilities :
- Key responsibilities include maintaining, installing, updating, and securing systems such as GCCS-J, AMHS, Windows Server, Red Hat, and associated applications.
- The administrator will ensure compliance with the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) requirements, manage Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, and develop custom scripts to enhance system functionality.
- Additionally, this role involves daily monitoring of security and performance logs, managing ServiceNow tickets, and coordinating with developers to develop workflows for GCCS and AMHS-related assets.
- The administrator will also participate in technical meetings, workgroups, and workshops to provide insights and recommendations to the government.
- Other duties include managing the backup and restoration of systems, ensuring systems are included in the Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) architecture, and coordinating with the AMHS vendor to support and troubleshoot system issues.
This includes arranging semi-annual site visits and providing direct support during these visits.
The System Administrator is also responsible for testing and executing the Continuity of Operations (COOP) for GCCS-J and AMHS, maintaining and updating standard operating procedures, and supporting Virtual Secure Enclave (VSE) within the facilities.
Occasional after-hours and weekend work is required to support service outages.
The contractor is expected to provide a Monthly Status Report (MSR) detailing accomplishments, ongoing issues, and efforts requiring government action, ensuring continuous documentation and reporting of GCCS-J and AMHS status.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Active TS / SCI clearance
- IAW DoDM 8410.03, must meet intermediate proficiency level.
- Must possess ONE of the following 8570 IAT-II certifications :
- CCNA Security
- CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst)
- GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)
- GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification)
- Security+ CE
- SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- Minimum High School Diploma / GED.
- Must have at least three years of experience building, managing and supporting Global Command Control System-Joint (GGCS-J) and Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) hardware, operating systems and applications in a DoD environment.
- Must have experience managing and securing Windows Servers and Windows Workstations within a DoD environment.
- Must have knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), in a DoD environment.
- Must have experience managing and supporting JOPES, VSE, and Agile Client.
- Must have experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal and DoD regulations, directives, policies and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
- Must have experience managing and securing Windows server and workstation operating systems in a DoD Virtual Machine Operating Environment (VOE) like VMware.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, Active Directory Service Management, Group Policy and automation is required.
- Must have experience patching GCCS and AMHS servers and workstations via automated tools.
- Must have experience backing up and restoring Active Directory, Windows operating systems, AMHS, and GCCS applications in a virtual environment via automated tools.
- Must have experience in managing and reviewing audit logs.
- Must have experience supporting Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) agents on Windows systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio) in preparing analytical reports, information papers, and briefings for executive level recipients.
- Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekend work as required to support service outages.

147000 to 163000
