Some of the things you will do in this position :

• Perform general mechanic maintenance activities in a team atmosphere to meet or exceed Solenis' safety, environmental and production goals.
• This position keeps the production units and supporting facilities in the utmost reliable working condition.
• The General Mechanic is expected to use good judgment to make choices that will contribute to the overall plant efficiency, objectives and policies.
• Safety and all environmental issues are foremost in the overall consideration in forming these judgments.
• Position may require shift work and working weekends, holidays and occasional overtime.

The expected compensation for this position is $37.66 per hour plus discretionary bonuses.

Qualifications : Experience :

Experience :

• Individuals must have greater than 5 years' experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
• Certification in welding, machinist, millwright, electrician, pipefitter, boilermaker or operating engineer.
• Preferred not required, emergency response experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• GM position will be awarded by seniority unless candidate has specific maintenance skills that meet the minimum requirements for the job.

• The individual must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
