Job Title : Security Manager
Location : Kirtland AFB- Albuquerque, NM
Canvas is seeking a Security Manager in the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) you will help empower the Department of Defense's navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission ensuring positioning, navigation and timing superiority.
You will serve a s a member of a team providing combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by providing knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR order of battle and PNT-related successes and threats.
You will serve as the Industrial Security subject matter expert and support the Program Manager in contract execution.
Duties :
- You will providing administrative processing of contractor personnel and contractor access to Defense Information System for Security (DISS) (formerly known as Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)).
- You will develop and submit contractor facility and equipment security accreditation packages.
- You will participate in contractor security related assessments and evaluations.
- You will review, track, and monitor contractor security clearance processing activities with appropriate Government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions.
- You will advise contractor staff on proper document profiling and customization, markings, and dissemination, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) procedures.
- Certification such Facility Manager Credential or industry equivalent. (desired)
- Ability to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment. (desired)
Requirements :
- Excellent knowledge of DoD and Military security regulations, policy, and procedures.
- Five years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail
Security Clearance :
Current TS / SCI Security Clearance.
