Sales Manager
- Qualifies leads and prospect gained from cold calls, newspapers, internet, referrals, sales blitzes, national sales offices, convention and visitors bureaus, and other sources.
- Qualifies business from in-house sources by meeting with guests at social hour, breakfast, reviewing in-house guests lists, working with the front desk to gain information etc.
- Follows up on all sales leads, including meeting room bookings.
- The Sales Manager is an active part of the community through Chamber of Commerce meetings, networking functions, local organizations etc.
- The Sales Manager is responsible for 25 outside calls per week cold calls and appointment calls.
- Documents weekly activities through a weekly sales report.
- Uncover target areas for maximizing revenue through the revenue management system.
- Utilize the suggested revenue management restrictions for high occupancy dates to maximize revenue.
- The Sales Manager will be knowledgeable of the hotels budget, and how the hotel is performing daily, month to date, and year to date.
- Continually monitor and control department expenditures.
