We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Guard Chief / Assistant Project Manager to oversee our security operations at the U.

S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) at Redstone Arsenal. This role involves managing the daily operations of our contract security guard (CSG) services, ensuring compliance with all contract requirements, and serving as the central point of contact for all security-related matters.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management :

Act as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer (KO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the security contract.

Ensure all contractual obligations are met with the highest standards of service.

Develop and submit work schedules, ensuring coverage for all required positions.

Manage the Individual Reliability Program (IRP) and ensure all security guards meet the required standards.

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.

Security Operations :

Designate and oversee the Guard Chief and other supervisory personnel.

Ensure all guards are trained and qualified and maintain proficiency in all required skills.

Manage security incidents and coordinate with Redstone Arsenal Directorate of Operations as needed.

Maintain a high level of discipline and performance among all security personnel.

Compliance and Training :

Ensure all guards complete mandatory training programs and maintain required certifications.

Develop and implement training plans for new hires and ongoing training for current personnel.

Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

3-5 years' experience in supervising a security guard force.

Ability to pass a medical exam, drug screening, and Physical Agility Test (PAT).

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Proficient in the use of computers, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.

Possess personal qualities of good conduct and character, integrity, dependability, and good mental, emotional, and physical fitness.

Possess, or have the ability to obtain, an Alabama armed security officer license.

Ability to pass and maintain the AR 190-56 Individual Reliability Program suitability and screening process.

Knowledge of various Army regulations is a plus (i.e., AR 190-56, TC 19-220, AR 190-14, ST 19-LESM, etc.).

Experience operating and providing written and oral status reports on specialized security equipment, including but not limited to x-ray machines, metal detectors, electronic security system components, and handheld, and fixed detectors.

Ability to perform access control by verifying and validating requested permissions to enter / exit all identified access control points.

Capable of performing security-related administrative duties as identified within the SOP at all identified facility access control points.

Ability to perform key control, access control measures, patrols, and procedures.

Validate the security of access points leading into restricted / classified areas.

Experience in visitor badging and escorting.
