You Have :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Proven experience in mechanical system design for building projects.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and relevant engineering software tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency in building design.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
You Will :
- Develop and design HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems for various building projects, considering energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into building designs, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of mechanical systems.
- Prepare detailed design specifications, drawings, and documentation for mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Select appropriate materials and equipment for mechanical systems, considering factors such as cost, durability, and environmental impact.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure that mechanical systems are installed and commissioned correctly, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during construction.
- Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient design principles into mechanical systems to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
- Collaborate with cost estimators to determine the budget required for mechanical systems within the building design project.
