Job Summary :
Performs the operation, maintenance and minor repair of all the Central Plant equipment which includes but is not limited to : boilers, chillers, emergency generators, medical air compressors, vacuum pumps, water pumps, water softeners, cooling towers, automation systems, and all related equipment necessary to maintain the plant in good operating conditions.
Job Requirements :
Education and Work Experience :
- High School Education / GED or equivalent : Preferred
- Associate’s / Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education / related experience : Preferred
- Experience in a healthcare setting : Preferred
Licenses / Certifications :
- State-certified licensure as relevant to trade : Required
- Valid Driver’s License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older : Required
- City Engineer : Required in Los Angeles County
Facility Specific License / Certifications :
Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) : Required
Department Specific License / Certifications :
- Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) : Required
- Engineer (LMSC) : Required
Essential Functions :
- Monitors equipment condition to ensure functioning within operating standards.
- Schedules and performs minor maintenance to plant equipment.
- Coordinates work with other internal and external resources.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
