Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time Pre- & Post-Op Medical Assistant to join our procedure team.
Overview :
Great opportunity for a CNA, EMT or MA looking for a regular daytime schedule in our Pain & Spine department at our Cottonwood Heights and West Jordan locations (will work at both locations).
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service with ability to communicate courteously and effectively to patients.
All shifts are weekday, business hours, no evenings or holidays. Also perfect for pre-med or pre-PA school students looking for clinical hours, providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
The Pre- and Post-Op Medical Assistant is an integral part of the procedure team, working with physicians, nurses and Rad Techs to provide patients with an exceptional experience.
The experience and knowledge to be gained with a position like this is excellent preparation for a career in health care.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Excellent customer service, communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Must be a team player and enjoy working with people.
Must be able to read, understand and communicate in English.
On-the-job training will be provided for Entry-Level Medical Assistant, EMT, or CNA.
Essential Functions and Duties :
Prepping patients for procedures
Assisting with patient transfers
Obtaining post-procedure vitals and monitoring patients during the recovery process
Providing post-procedure and follow-up instructions to patients and their families
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience :
High School Graduate or equivalent.
