Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist to join our team! As a Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist on our team, you will be seeing multiple patients each day, reading their medical history, and listening to their stories and concerns.
Based on that patient’s needs and lifestyle, you will be providing diet and nutrition advice, creating meal plans specifically for them, and offering changes they can make in their daily lives to live healthier, happier lives.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of diet, nutrition, and different dietary needs, and the ability to multitask and switch focus, as needed, to provide the best care for each patient.
Strong clinical skills a must. Bilingual a plus.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet each patient, listening to their concerns and asking questions to learn about their lifestyle and health issues
- Counsel patients suffering from a variety of health issues on changes they can make in their daily lives to improve their nutrition
- Provide meal plans and recipe suggestions that are in line with their ultimate health goals
- Regularly communicate with existing patients and check in on their progress
- Be a helpful, supportive presence for patients looking to make major changes in their life
Qualifications
- Must hold the required license in the state (Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of nutrition for varying ages and conditions
- The ability to compassionately counsel people making major life changes
- The ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
