WHAT YOU’LL DO
Due Diligence
- Handle the financial and diligence process for any PE recapitalization or refinance
- Maintain records, prepare replies, and provide requested information for investors
- Oversee client / prospect contract negotiations and red lines
- Participate in client-requested diligence like vendor risk evaluations from the business side
- Own third-party contract review process
Strategic Leadership
- Build a culture of communication and connection on the finance team
- Foster proactive collaboration, communication, and alignment with other departments
- Ensure the company incorporates financial controls and considerations into day-to-day operations, decision-making, planning, and profitability assessments
- Develop and maintain necessary policies, practices, documentation, and systems to scale our finance team and protect the business
- Balance a clear strategic vision with measurable execution, milestones, and visible progress
- Maintain an understanding of our industry and evolving best practices of finance teams like ours
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Oversee all financial activities, including financial reporting, forecasting, modeling, and driving growth and profitability
- Manage Cash Flows
- Help set and achieve revenue and budget targets, developing tools to provide critical information to the leadership team and stakeholders
Compliance
- Coordinate with law firms and tax accounts to supervise and / or prepare required GAAP reporting and information requests
- Collaborate with benefits and law partners to ensure compliance with multi-state benefits and pay laws
- Participate in employment law compliance, risk mitigation, change management processes, and personnel matters by communicating with HR and / or legal counsel
Finance and Accounting
- Work closely with the CEO and COO to assess overall financial trends and develop appropriate financial action plans
- Partner with HR on benefits administration, hiring / payroll planning, and any other overlapping functions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Banks and equity partners
- Own debt refinancing process and strategy
- Manage all commercial lease negotiations
- Create and implement financial strategies to support the company’s overall business objectives
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven experience in a senior leadership position managing Private Equity transactions
- Extensive knowledge of financial planning and reporting, budgeting, accounting, tax, forecasting, administration, venture capital fundraising, payroll and audit activities
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, accounting practices and GAAP
- Sets clear, metric-driven objectives focused on continual improvement as well as best-in-class standards for the industry
- Positive can-do attitude, balancing business priorities with your operational needs
- Default to thoughtful, empathetic, respectful, and calm communication
- Celebrates constructive conflict but never operates with an adversarial attitude
