Job Overview : A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general liability litigation and an active law license.
This role involves providing legal counsel, representing clients in litigation matters, and contributing to the firm's success through effective case management.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee a caseload of general liability litigation matters.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and depositions.
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues to develop case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and prepare settlement agreements as needed.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
- Participate in client meetings and provide updates on case progress.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all legal practices.
Requirements :
- Proven experience in general liability litigation.
- Active license to practice law in Georgia.
- Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures related to liability cases.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of legal practice.
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Active license to practice law in Georgia.
