Registered Nurse (RN) System Float Pool - Emergency Department

Inova Health Systems is seeking flexible, experienced, highly skilled Emergency Department nurses to join our system wide float pool, Inova Staffing Solutions.

RNs must have a minimum of three years experience to the focus of the nursing specialty and must be willing to be assigned to any of our five hospital locations Alexandria, Fairfax Medical Campus, Fair Oaks, Loudoun and Mount Vernon as well as our six Inova healthplex locations.

This is a full-time benefited position.

The Registered Nurse (RN) for Staffing Solutions will float daily to any site of care within Inova Health System. This role will provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams.

This role will consistently provide safe care in a holistic and systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care.

This role will also serve as an empowering body to influence patient empowerment and successful outcomes of financial and clinical quality through relationships and access-based knowledge.

Emergency Room

Experienced, highly skilled, flexible pool supporting the daily staffing needs of Inova Health System Emergency Rooms, Healthplex (standalone Emergency Room) and Emergency Care Centers.

It is necessary to have well developed skills and talents to be fully functional on any unit within a professional cluster with minimal orientation and supervision.

This wonderful opportunity offers an hourly wage of $85.

Strong preference to candidates actively working in this area of specialty.

Requires :

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Critical Care Nursing experience
• BLS through AHA
• ACLS through AHA

PALS required for ED, Peds and L&D positions)

• Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Proficient in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
• Proficient computer skills required.
