What’s in it for you :

  • Healthcare participation for the spouse and family POS plan. IFSS provides 50% of the elected plan (including employees and family) with a minimum monthly contribution.
  • 80 hours of regular work will be provided per pay period. Overtime will be available (with Manager’s approval) to you when working onsite, on billable service calls, change orders, scheduled overtime, or at the customer’s request.
  • IFSS will provide a company vehicle with a fuel card that includes local personal use (role-specific, may not apply)
  • IFSS laptop computer, cell phone, and software required for the performance of technical duties.
  • Required P.P.E. and IFSS company shirts.
  • Nine company-paid holidays.
  • One-week paid vacation begins accrual after 90 days of full-time service, two weeks of vacation upon completion of the 2nd anniversary, and three weeks upon completion of 5 years of service.
  • PTO, one week each year starting January 1 (prorated from date of hire in the current year after 90 days of employment).
  • This position accompanies a 90-day review and evaluation from the hire date.

What You’ll Do :

  • Provide support to Service, Installation, MAC, and the Operations Department.
  • Installation of conduit, wire, and devices for various low voltage systems, mainly focusing on fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance installations.
  • Must be highly motivated, and task-oriented to see tasks through to completion.
  • Must be a team player and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Responsible for trade coordination in the field and familiar with blueprint interpretation and build updates.
  • Shall work with crew, schedule onsite resources, and ensure equipment and materials are correct and onsite when needed.
  • Responsible for mentoring and training field staff (Technicians and Helpers) so that they can achieve the skills required to meet IFSS’ standards for quality and technical excellence.
  • Must also communicate well with internal and external customers.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience :

  • Certification in IFSS areas of expertise or a successful 2-4 years of demonstrated work history / knowledge is required.
  • Understanding NEC and NFPA's current requirements is essential.
  • Shall be able to identify field changes or possible scope gaps and work with Project Managers to produce the timely pricing of scope changes / change orders.
  • Shall perform onsite review of installations and quality control.
  • Shall maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending seminars and keeping up with industry changes and the latest proven technologies.
