Paid Media Strategy Director

The Paid Media Strategy Director demonstrates a deep understanding of advertising trends, audience behavior, and industry best practices, serving as a player / coach within the US Petcare Marketing team. Key responsibilities include leading the media agency relationship, collaborating with the therapeutic area teams, and driving the linear TV, digital TV, paid search, paid social, and onsite retail strategy. To optimize investments and ROI, the evaluation and application of marketing mix modeling will be a critical driver of performance success. Serving as the coach for the Programmatic Senior Marketing Manager, this individual plays a critical leadership role in shaping the culture of the marketing organization and talent development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Leadership

  • Serve as the paid media agency internal lead to design and deliver strategic plans for US Petcare that support full-funnel demand generation.
  • Employ a hands-on approach to media buying, data analysis, and optimization to deliver revenue targets and prepare for pipeline growth.
  • Serve as the coach to the colleague driving programmatic execution, providing strategic direction and individual development.
  • Prepare and present media plans, budgets, and performance reports to stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partnering with marketing leadership and consumer teams, plays a key role in leading the tactical planning, execution, and performance optimization of paid media campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Act as the subject matter expert to stay ahead of the curve and continually innovate, particularly in emerging channels, while working within a regulated industry.
  • Analytics and Reporting

  • Lead media performance reporting and present strategic insights and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Serve as the internal Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) champion to ensure channel orchestration across objectives and campaigns to deliver a superior customer experience and ROI.
  • Drive collaboration with internal teams, as well as external media and creative agencies, to connect media investments with measurable impacts.
  • Operations

  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, privacy, and promotional guidelines; maintain robust documentation and change control.
  • Manage vendor relationships, scopes, budgets, and service levels to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes.
  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,880-260,015. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation and long-term incentives.
