About the role
As a Convo Interpreter, you will provide interpreting services to our diverse customer base. Convo Interpreters exemplify the ideals and ethics reflected in the Code of Professional Conduct, co-authored by the National Association of the Deaf and the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, as well as Convo's Statement of Mission and Core Values. In doing so, you are responsible for the following :

- Maintain the confidentiality of information exchanged in an interpreting situation.
- Observe Convo's internal policies and procedures at all times.
- Contribute to the development and high morale of the company.
- Maintain a friendly, professional appearance following internal guidelines.
- Demonstrate a continuous commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
- Set up and use computer technology efficiently to communicate with team members as well as provide facilitation of video conference interpreting.
Interpreting Settings
Convo Interpreters will provide excellent ASL / English interpretation services professionally and competently within a variety of settings, registers, and formats, which may include but are not limited to :
Video Relay ServicesInterpreter On-Demand ServicesOn-Demand interpreting through video
Potential for Multiple participants via video and any number of participants in the same roomPlanned services (conferences and VRI)Potential for Multiple participants via video and any number of participants in the same room
Onsite meetings (when applicable)Subject matter ranging from light daily assignments to highly complex business, education, medical, marketing, technology strategies, and solutionsTeaming with other interpretersWide range of topics and other unique settingsQualifications
Two years (minimum) consecutive experience interpreting professionally as a Sign Language InterpreterDemonstrate expressive and receptive fluency with both American Sign Language and EnglishHigh level of adaptability for working with diverse populations, as well as leveraging various models of onsite, remote, and team interpretingStrong and exemplary interpersonal skills in all settingsOpenness to providing and receiving constructive feedback, support, and mentoring professionally and positively.Have the experience, knowledge, and skills necessary to work in a solitary, fast-paced, environment.Understanding of and willingness to keep up with video technology, trends, and issuesAbility and confidence to succeed both independently and in team settingsBasic knowledge of computer technologyThe pay range for this role is :
35 - 55 USD per year(Austin, Texas)

10 - 10 USD per hour(In Center Shift Differential)
