Position Summary :
The DEAI Internship at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art offers an engaging introduction to the world of Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion.
Interns will explore various strategies implemented at both Crystal Bridges and the Momentary.
Intern Responsibilities :
Effective Communication :
Facilitate discussions and actively listen.
Problem Solving :
- Assess simulations and real-world situations.
- Provide consultations, delivering active solutions.
Adobe Proficiency :
Create and manage documents.
Training Platforms :
Utilize resources like LinkedIn Learning to develop and implement training modules.
This internship is an excellent opportunity for students interested in social sciences who are eager to learn and grow!
Duties and Responsibilities :
Community Engagement
- Collaboration with Learning and Engagement Department
- Cultivate and maintain community partnerships
- Understand components of community development internally and externally
- Attend disability task force to learn and apply access and inclusion
Workplace Culture and Staff Engagement
- Learn about departments and their roles
- Learn and assist in ERG’s
- Assist with ERG Celebration (Staff Engagement)
- Recognition lunches
Procedures, Policies and Structure
- ARC Guiding Principles
- CE Framework
- Assist with facilitating meetings
The intern will work closely with Director of Inclusion and Belonging to learn and gain real world experience.
Qualifications :
- Interest in learning Crystal Bridges and the Momentary’s organizational polices
- Ability to communicate written and verbal
- Interest in project management
- Strong organizational abilities
- Initiative required
- Ability to research

Weekly schedule to be arranged with direct supervisor
To qualify for bachelor’s or high school hours, you must be enrolled in an accredited program or have graduated from an accredited program within the last three years.
Students will be required to submit a current schedule or official transcript.
Compensation :
High School Interns : $12.00 an hour
Undergraduate Interns : $13.00 an hour

Physical demands : In the work environment described below, position requires work at a desk, utilizing a computer and a telephone for prolonged periods of time, good eye / hand coordination, bending and stretching for filing, and physical stamina to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of at least three feet for file and materials storage as appropriate for the demands of the office.
Visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job.
Work environment : Work will be performed in an office environment and museum spaces. The noise level in the museum work environment is usually low to moderate.
If the intern’s personal equipment is used, the museum accepts no liability for any damage caused to said equipment while being used for museum purposes, nor loss or corruption of electronic files on devices.
