Software Test Automation Engineer

This is an office-based position in Durham, NC with the option to work remotely 1-2 days per week*

Summary :

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated test frameworks to streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

You will work closely with development and QA teams to identify areas for automation and ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using various frameworks and scripting languages, with a strong focus onPython
• Integrate automated tests into the CI / CD pipeline
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand testing requirements and develop test plans
• Daily monitoring of the CI produced test results; identify defects, and report them using bug tracking tools
• Hands-on manual tests in hardware lab
• Continuously improve the test automation process and identify opportunities for further automation. Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software test automation

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
• 6-8+ years of experience in software test automation
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile)
• Proficiency in Python (v3.10 or later)and experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Pytest)
• Experience withAPI testingand performance testing
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with GitHub Actions as it applies to automation in a CI / DC pipeline
• Experience with Docker, Node.js (v18 or later), and Kafka is a plus
