Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant
Our Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant will receive a competitive sign on bonus!
- Location : Child Focus Early Head Start and Head Start Locations
- Hours : Full time (40 hours per week)
- Salary : $40,000 starting
Minimum Requirements :
- Degree Required : Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
- License Preferred : LSW, LPC, MFT, OCPSA, OCPSS, OCPC.
- Required Experience : Experience providing mental health services, with preference for experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children (0-8).
Responsibilities :
Provide programmatic, classroom, and individual prevention / consultation services to early learning centers, parents, and children.
Served under the federal initiative of Whole Child Matters.
- Conduct observations and strengths / needs assessments.
- Collaborate with child care centers to address at-risk / challenging behaviors and safety planning.
- Assist young children in achieving social / emotional and academic success through collaboration with early learning educators and school administration.
- Educate parents about infant and early childhood mental health and facilitate access to community mental health resources and treatment services.
- Ensure timely documentation of all activities.
