We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship, sustainability practices, and commitment to innovation. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our team and help us enhance our production processes while fostering a positive work environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, goal oriented and has great leadership experience. This positions reports to the Director of Operations and is an onsite position located in Raleigh, NC.
Job Summary : As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing workflow, and ensuring production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Your focus will be on improving processes, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
The Production Manager will also be responsible for implementing 5S and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Evaluate existing processes and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency.
- Implement and uphold quality control standards throughout the production process, ensuring all finished products meet company specifications.
- Oversee project timelines, ensuring that all production deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with production coordinators to develop and implement production schedules, prioritizing projects based on deadlines and resources availability.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to address product defects, implement corrective actions, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma and / or Kaizen methodologies into production and other areas when needed.
- Foster open communication within the team and with other departments to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
Managerial responsibilities :
- Coach and serve as a leader for your department.
- Strong managerial skills to manage and train people.
- Conduct performance reviews, 1 : 1, and departmental recruitment.
- Handles corrective action and progressive discipline as needed in accordance with company policy.
- Lead by example, work toward team engagement and retention.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
Requirements :
Physical demands : Normal office environment, ability to sit, stand and operation of office equipment. Stand or move around throughout the day, as well as extended periods of sitting.
Required Education and Experience : A bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing or a related field, at least 5+ years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the textile or apparel industry.
Project management experience and 3+ years of manufacturing experience. CRM software experience (ex. Oracle, SAP, Odoo).
Lean Manufacturing certification (Six Sigma, APICS, Kaizen certification preferred).
Skills :
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Take direction well and be open to learning.
Solid work ethic and enjoys working with others to produce a quality product.
Demonstrated leadership qualities such as conflict / issue resolution.
Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Exceptional communication skills; bilingual proficiency is preferred.
Schedule : The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 am until 5 : 30 pm.
